It’s the little things that make the work worth it

Kelli, a missionary friend of ours, sent me screen grabs of a text conversation she had with another young female missionary in the jungles of Peru. The last time Kelli was in town I gave her copies of the four Gabby Wells Thrillers and she, in turn, gave them to her fellow missionary.

Her friend was about to finish Gods & Martyrs, the last Gabby Wells Thriller, and texted Kelli, wanting to know when I would be writing another one. She was adamant that Kelli pass along her request.

It’s these little things, these simple validations that your work brings joy to others, that make all the time as a writer that you spend by yourself worth it.
